Mild-Matte A-2 Polyester/TGIC Powder Coating Matting Agent

Mild-MatteA-2 is a matting agent for polyester / TGIC powder coating system.

The key features of Mild-MatteA-2 are good surface fullness, stable gloss, and small selectivity to polyester. The matting agent has the following characteristics：

• Matting performance: Lowest gloss of 5-8GU @60° (Dosage: 7% in total)
• One-shot effect ： No dry-blending is required
  
• Surface quality: good surface fullness
  
• Durability：good UV resistance and good weather resistance
• Mechanical Properties: (+/-) 50KG*cm impact (GB/T1732-93)
  
• Color stability: excellent yellowing resistance after baking
• Matting stability: stable gloss, insensitive to extrusion process, good reproducibility
• Other ： Slow-curing polyester recommended. The curing temperature
  needs to be guaranteed in order to obtain good mechanical properties and matting
  properties

Recommended powder coating formula based on Mild-Matte A-2:

• Above formulas were illustrated only for reference
  
• Please do trial first before batch order
  
• Mild-Matte A-2 : TGIC ≈ 13:1
  
• Please adjust the content of pigment and filler according to the actual situation. Organic pigments may speed up the reactions and lead to increased gloss
  
• Rcommended slow curing polyesters, such as: Allnex CRYLCOAT 2441-2 /2491-2,
  Anhui Shenjian 4#E, 4#ET, 4#A, Chansieh EL6600, EL6800, DSM P5300 / P4900  P4600, Guangzhou Kinte NH-3309/NH-3308 / NH3386, Jsbesd YZ9803, KHUA
  GH2221, Maple FL-2016/FL-2011, Zhejiang Tiansong CE2701 / CE2098, etc
  
• In actual use, it is found that slow curing polyester is beneficial to matting performance
  
• Avoid accelerators or catalytic pigments/fillers; they typically raise gloss and may
  impair leveling.

Typical Properties:

• Appearance：White or light yellow powder
  
• Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) ： ≤3.0% （ wt.% ） Thermal Gravimetric
  Analysis at 200°C/20min.
• Softening point, RING AND BALL ： 100-130°C

Application:

• Pre-mix and Co-extrusion [One-Shot Method]

Storage:

• 12months @27°C, Keep Dry
  

Safety and Caution：

• General powder coating safety regulations can be adapted for ZEHM products
  
• Unless otherwise noted, ZEHM products never contain any heavy metal elements,
  easy-flammable or explosive materials
  
• Personal Protective Equipments [PPE] are required to prevent the powder from oral or breath adsorption and skin direct contact
  
• Any contaminated body parts should be suggested to a rapid wash-away. Serious cases should look for the doctor’s treatment

Note:

Despite the Mild-Matte A-2 can make noticeable effects for your formulation, batch powder line trial for the powder user is strongly recommended.
