ZH-60 Matting Agent for Polyester/Epoxy Powder Coatings

ZH-60 is an economical matting agent based on acrylic resin. It has excellent matting effect, good storage stability, impact resistance, surface hardness and scratch resistance in
polyester/epoxy hybrid powder coating system. ZH-60 has the following characteristics

• Excellent matting performance
• minimum gloss 2GU@60°
• Matting principle: chemical matting type
• matting agent/epoxy (equivalent 833) = 1:1
• Appearance: smooth, high fullness, good stain resistance, high blackness when using in black
• Impact resistance: ±50KG.cm, excellent delayed
• impact performance
• Anti-scratch performance: high cross-linking density, higher hardness and scratch
  resistance than traditional chemical matting agents
• Economical: More polyester in the formula has obvious cost advantages when the price of polyester is low
• Others: very small sensitivity to oven temperature. workable baking at batch ovens
  and cold ovens
• Excellent color stability
• Low contamination to high gloss powder in the same baking tunnel. Low sensitivity to baking temperature
• Adjustable gloss: By adjusting the amount of matting agent and corresponding epoxy consumption, the gloss can be adjusted
• Excellent mechanical properties and excellent adhesion
• Low selectivity for polyester resin

Recommended powder coating formula based on ZH-60:

• Tested polyesters: Shenjian SJ3B, SJ5A, Tiansong 6700, 5375, Guanghua 1261,
  Qingtian 2583, Fenglin 1505, Zhongfa 5086A, Zhengjie 9403A, Yinyang 5050, etc
• In different formulas, the best mechanical properties can be obtained by appropriately adjusting the amount of epoxy
• Please adjust the pigment and filler content according to the actual situation. The
  filler content should be increased according to the actual situation. It is best to
  choose matting fillers if it is beneficial to matting
• The above formula is for reference only. Each performance may vary according to
  the performance of the resin. Please refer to the test data
• Avoid accelerators or catalytic pigments/fillers; they typically raise gloss and may impair leveling.

Typical Properties:

• Appearance: White or light yellow powder
• Epoxy equivalent weight: about 800

Application:

• Pre-mix and Co-extrusion [One-Shot Method]

Storage:

• 12months @27°C, Keep Dry
